Hearst magazine is owned by Hearst corporation being a media conglomerate since it owns other magazines that focus on different topics such as Elle magazine and Men's Health. The age demographic for the magazine is ages 16 - 25, thus involving content such as fashion, exercise and celebrities since people may show an interest in those topics, and by being well known by many Hearst can use this to their advantage by adding them on the cover to get people to buy more copies and therefore getting more sales.
What does Hearst aim for
Hearst magazine is a lifestyle magazine where it aims to improve a persons mental and physical health which fits in with their mission statement being to inform, entertain and inspire. Through their social medias such as Twitter or Instagram, they aim to post front covers of newly released magazines to inform people when a new issue was live, they inspire audiences by recommending activities such as sports or cooking to help them relax and they entertain by talking about celebrities whether they are working on a new movie or gossip being focused around them.
